Blooming Bees: Fostering Young Minds Through Play

At Blooming Bees, we believe children learn best through play, warm relationships, and hands-on exploration. Research from Harvard University highlights that the first few years of life are critical for brain development and future resilience. Playful, back-and-forth interactions with caring adults build the foundation for focus, memory, and self-control.

  • We create playful, responsive interactions every day—reading, talking, singing, and exploring together to support healthy brain development and lifelong learning.

  • Instead of a rigid curriculum, we design Montessori-inspired activities based on the children’s interests, supporting the whole child: social, emotional, cognitive, and physical.

  • Weather permitting, children play outside daily to build gross motor skills, confidence, and a love of nature.

Stages
Jean Piaget's Theory of Cognitive Development

Piaget's theory outlines key stages that children go through as they learn and grow. Our approach respects these stages and offers developmentally appropriate experiences.

  • Sensorimotor Stage (Birth to 2 Years): Babies learn about the world through their senses and motor actions. They gradually understand that objects continue to exist even when they are out of sight (object permanence).

  • Preoperational Stage (2 to 7 Years): Children begin to think symbolically and use words and pictures to represent objects, while still learning to see things from others’ perspectives.
